Harmonisasi Nalar Bayani, Irfani, dan Burhani: Menuju Formulasi Fikih yang Komprehensif

Abstract
This research aims to formulate a harmonization model between Bayani, Irfani, and Burhani reasonings in an effort to create a more comprehensive and adaptive formulation of Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence). Historically, Fiqh studies have been predominantly dominated by Bayani reasoning, which is textualist-legalistic in nature, often resulting in rigid legal products that lack spiritual depth and social relevance. Utilizing a qualitative research method with a philosophical-epistemological approach, this study focuses on addressing two primary issues: the impact of the partial application of these epistemologies on the validity of Fiqh products, and the ideal integration model of Bayani, Irfani, and Burhani in responding to contemporary legal challenges. The results indicate that the harmonization of these three reasonings is an absolute necessity for the development of modern Fiqh. Bayani reasoning serves to safeguard the authority of the text (revelation); Irfani provides ethical-sufistic depth to ensure the law retains its spiritual essence; and Burhani offers rational validation and scientific analysis of social realities. This review reveals that an imbalance or the exclusive use of only one reasoning leads to flawed legal products—becoming either overly rigid due to literalism, too subjective due to intuition, or excessively secular due to pure rationalism. The study concludes that a comprehensive Fiqh formulation can only be achieved through an integrated epistemological framework. By synthesizing text, intuition, and context, Fiqh will be capable of addressing contemporary challenges without losing its transcendental identity.
