This experimental study employs a Pretest Posttest Control Group Design to investigate the effectiveness of sleep quality counseling in reducing stress levels among college students. Sixteen students from the State Polytechnic of Sriwijaya majoring in Business Management participated in the study, divided into experimental and control groups. The independent variable is sleep quality, while the dependent variable is stress level, measured using the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale 42 (DASS 42). Data collection involved administering pretest and posttest questionnaires online, with the experimental group receiving sleep quality counseling while the control group did not. Results indicated a significant difference in stress level gain scores between the two groups, with a p-value of < 0.001, rejecting the null hypothesis. Descriptive analysis revealed that the experimental group experienced a mean stress level gain score of -12.13, compared to 3.88 in the control group, indicating a more significant reduction in stress among students receiving sleep quality counseling. These findings suggest the effectiveness of sleep quality counseling in managing stress among college students, supporting the alternative hypothesis.
